Where has the time gone? Happy Belated New Year to you!! How are you??
The year started off quite differently for me. Normally, I would have fallen into the same routine. I would rest toward the end of the year and then dive into life again on January 1st ready to make things happen. I am not a resolution chick by any stretch of the imagination but I have ideas for how I’d like things to go. However that was not the case this year.
This year I heard a call to be still. That’s right. I heard a small voice within asking me to spend some time being quiet and listening. At first, I fought the urge but then I began to embrace it. As I started the next installment of Dirty Footprints painting series, DEEP, I found a place where I could comfortably work on my art while being still. It has been an incredible experience so far.
I have missed being here. I have missed coming to this space where I can just say anything. Well, that’s not 100% true. Often I would look for something, the “right” thing to say. It was only in the later portion of this year that I began to simply talk without thought of what I should or should not say. I began to truly share my process of creating and that’s what I’m going to follow. In addition, I’m going to bring two worlds together.
Thursday Sweet Treat is a blog I’ve been running where artists are given a theme and asked to create a work of art. It has been an amazing experience thus far and one that I’d like to continue. But I cannot maintain these two worlds, my work and my family. So, I will be merging these two spaces here.
it is a time for change and growth in my life and I’m so excited to share that with you and have you share with me.
xoxoxoxo,
Natasha
