The Nacho Experiment Midway Point

Great job everyone!
(I just want you all to know that my husband calls me the King of the Cornballs in this picture. When I asked why I was not Queen, he said I could be Queen too. There is no gender specification in Cornball Land.)
PLEASE NOTE: Today, June 4th, 2008, there are TWO blog posts. Once you have finished reading this one, scroll down for the next one. Thanks!
And so the experiment continues. I love so many things about this project. I love the imaginations that have come to play on the Nacho playground. I love how different all of the additions and ideas have been but most of all, I love that we get to learn together.
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that community story building takes work. In my initial directions, I asked that you read the beginning of the story I wrote on the blog as well as the comments section. The idea was that one person would read the initial story and then write the next part. Then, the next person to visit would read the initial story AND the comment in the comments section and then add to the comment left by the last person. The story would be written in sequence by you. Perhaps I did not explain that clearly and for that I apologize. This is the first time we have all done this, so we get to work out the kinks together.
Regardless of what people responded to, I loved all the replies, so I took them and edited them together to form our story. PLEASE NOTE: the story is in the blog post following this one. Just scroll down. Please read it to see how your imaginations have created a story. I added a few parts in order to make transitions from one section to another but this is YOUR work. You amaze me! Thank you for taking the time to contribute. I hope you will continue to as we more toward the end of our tale.
Our story has taken a turn. Where will it go? You decide. (I suddenly feel like a “Choose your own adventure” book). Let’s try to work together to decide the direction and the ending. Anyone is free to jump in!
Directions: Please read the comments section and build off of what the last person contributed. I will present the story in its entirety on Friday. Every writer will receive credit.
Title: In addition, when you leave a new section, please submit an idea for a title. Here is my suggestion:
